Privacy Policy

Last updated October 25, 2026

ScholarSorted helps families track scholarship deadlines. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we will never do with it. The short version: we collect the minimum, we never sell your data, and you can download or delete it anytime.

What we collect

What we never collect

We do not ask for Social Security numbers, FAFSA documents, tax records, home addresses, or birthdates. Please don't put them in your notes.

How we use it

What we will never do

Who helps us run ScholarSorted

We use a few trusted providers who process data only to run the service: Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database and sign-in), Stripe (payments), and an email delivery provider for reminders. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

Who can see a board

Only the parent account and, if the parent invites them, that student. Our database enforces this, so one family can never see another family's board.

Students

ScholarSorted is for high school students and their parents or guardians. Accounts are created by a parent or guardian, or by a student 13 or older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.

Your choices

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is open. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove it within 30 days, except records we must keep for tax or legal reasons (such as payment receipts).

Changes

If we make a meaningful change to this policy, we will update the date above and let account holders know by email.
